London: 1971–1995
Leoussi is highly respected in the world of contemporary dance photography and earned an international reputation for her powerful and fluid black and white images, a majority of which were shot during full dress rehearsals rather than staged photocalls. Her work has been widely exhibited and featured in numerous publications. A comprehensive retrospective spanning 25 years, Rehearsal: Photographs of Dance, was published by Dewi Lewis in 1998.
